<h2>What is Ozone?</h2> <p>Ozone is a molecule made up of three oxygen atoms. In nature, it is found in the stratosphere and blocks the passage of the sun's UV rays. It is a colorless gas with a characteristic odor at room temperature.</p> <h2>What is Medical Ozone?</h2> <p>Ozone used in medical treatment is called "Medical Ozone". "Medical Ozone Generator" devices are used to obtain medical ozone. In these devices, 100% pure oxygen is exposed to high electrical voltage and ozone/oxygen gas mixture<br /> is obtained</p> <p>The most important feature of ozone therapy is that it can be given to the body in different ways and at different doses, specific to the patient and the disease. Ozone is applied to the body in the following ways:</p> <p><strong>Paravertebral Ozone Injection</strong></p> <p>Paravertebral ozone therapy is performed by injecting the ozone-oxygen mixture into the muscles on both sides of the spine in waist and neck hernias. It gives very bright results in lumbar and cervical hernias and can provide a very rapid improvement.</p> <p><strong>Major Autohemotherapy</strong></p> <p>It is the most commonly used application method. In this method, a small amount of blood (50-120ml) from the patient's vein is taken into an ozone-resistant sterile tube. Ozone/oxygen mixture is given to this blood at the dose deemed appropriate and after the mixture is achieved, it is returned to the body in the same way.</p> <p><strong>Minor Autohemotherapy</strong></p> <p>In this method, 3-5 ml of ozonized blood is returned to the patient intramuscularly. This method activates the immune system: it is used in allergic diseases and to strengthen the immune system in general.</p> <p><strong>Injection into the Joint</strong></p> <p>In this method, 3-5 injections of gas (ozone-oxygen mixture) are usually given intermittently to the joints with calcification. It is a method used especially in knee and shoulder problems.</p> <p><strong>Local Application</strong></p> <p>Ozone-oxygen injection is applied to myofascial trigger points (earache), painful trigger points in the muscle. Tendon problems can be treated in a similar way.</p> <p><strong>Bagging</strong></p> <p>It is mostly preferred in non-healing bedsores, diabetic wounds and gangrene.
